3/20/2010

I was thinking of looking into the latest Fitness and weightlifting crazes. I probably won't actually try any of these trends in the near future: At the moment I am sticking to my tried, tested, and true workout methods. If I am already in the type of shape that I want to be in, it is fun to try new workouts. When I am getting back into shape I stick with old workout because every workout doesn't work for my body. It took 7 years of hardcore workout to find routines that I can always rely on. At this point I know what will get me back into the kind of shape that allows for me to try new things...

This isn't my idea but I agree with it: Facebook isn't what is was when i first began to use the website. When I first began to use the website you couldn't do a name search and find anyone unless they were in one of your school networks. If you did a namesearch of someone who went to a school that you didn't attend, they wouldn't appear in the results listing whether they were on facebook or not. It was strictly for classmates. I guess that facebook figured that that is what myspace was for. Apparently it was great for people whose life was centered around their campus somehow. Not being able to find people who didn't attend my school was a bit much but now facebook has turned into myspace. Someone could create a website that is what facebook was originally and it would be successful: A website that is exclusively for adding people who attended school with you...

I see some outrageous comments in the news and otherwise sometimes. When people say something that is too outrageous everyone wonders what they were thinking. There are many reasons why a person would do that but I think that one explanation is underrated: Some people take only talking amongst themselves to a new level. Some people's opinions are not tempered by anything else (That seems like a no brainer but no brainers "fly over people's heads" all the time). I am talking abut a more extreme case than what probably came to mind when you first read that. If these people are not very middle of the road something outrageous gets put out into the mainstream occasionally.

I was reading an article about the re-release of NBA Jam recently. A lot of people are excited to see what NBA Jam will look like on a Current video game system. I think that it would be interesting to see most Classic video games updated for Current systems. I might find the 8 bit Contra or double dribble online and play them in the near future but an X Box 360, Playstation 3, or Nintendo WII can do those games an entirely different type of justice. Most video games have been updated whether it is called an update/has the same name or not. Did anyone see the those new Ninja Gaiden games?

One of the more interesting things that have happened around me recently is that a huge portion of the wall of the place where i live had to be removed to get rid of a beehive that was in the house. I was completely unaware of the fact that the beehive existed until the new wall was almost finished. Someone said that you could barely see the sky after the beehive was destroyed initially: That many bees were released into the sky. That almost sounds like a horror movie. Its interesting that I didn't know that hat was going on until after the fact.

I read a story recently: A Chicago-based firm that owns the land that the Hollywood sign is built on wants to remove the Hollywood sign and build houses there. It doesn't surprise me that the people who want to do that are not actually from the area at all. They just don't "get it."

-It has been warm during the day but very cold at night the last few days...

-Its interesting how famous people can't do a lot of things that everyone else without raising eyebrows. I remember a conversation that as something like:

Person number one: I saw **** walking down the street the other day, then he sat down in this restaurant and started eating food.

Second Person" Yeah, thats crazy...."

-I think that if I have anymore extended comments about bars, clubs, or restaurants I might take it over to yelp.com. That's the appropriate place for long rants about that sort of thing. Right?

-Conflict happens between friends, but what is the appropriate level? I am sure that everyone thinks about that sort of thing to some extent. I always try to avoid "frienemy" status. The problem is that the moment a "frienemy" does any serious damage to a person they say that said person "should have known better."

-This is random. Does assisted suicide still exist? I remember that it was a major issue a while ago. It seems like the sort of thing that has a too much potential for fraud or abuse. I always thought that that issue would culminate in a client's signature being forged in crayon on the release papers or something. After that people would have to jump through more loops than ever before if it still existed...

...

I am as squeaky clean as anyone in my situation ever has been but it seems that they key to getting away with crimes is to stick with the ones that are taboo to bring up. It is very taboo to accuse people from certain backgrounds of certain crimes. It is very taboo to accuse anyone of any background of certain crimes. It almost seems like you need twice as much evidence as any normal accusation to accuse someone of these things. I don't need to be more specific, we all know the sort of thing that I am talking about. I definitely don;t believe in furthering frivolousness or stereotypes, but I am sure that someone out there is making a living out of exploiting that sort of thing. what i described in the last paragraph of the previous paragraph is that sort of thing...

I have this recurring dream that always picks up exactly where it left off. I don't have this dream every night, but whenever I have this dream it always begins where it ended and I have an entire set of memories that come into play when i have this dream. I can remember things when I am having any one of these dreams that I cannot remember when I was awake. The dream centers around having forgotten that I was in school until finals time, then I am trying to figure out how to bridge the gap of not knowing that I was enrolled in classes to knowing enough to pass the class in a 2 week period. I can remember everything that I was doing during the semester, but I can't seem to remember my school circumstance. I am always like, "I thought that I graduated from school already, but maybe thats the dream..." I always wake up before I my mind wonders too far down that path, though.

Random Ideas

I have seen some incredible deals on various things in my life. Regardless of the price, if the level of quality isn't high enough its not really worth owning... Everyone has encountered merchandise of some sort that was high priced but extremely inexpensive for whatever reason. One thing that I have never found a great deal on is laundry detergent. I am not saying that you should buy the most expensive laundry detergent, but the least expensive laundry detergent will knock 2 hours worth of dirt of your clothes as opposed to cleaning it thoroughly. Thats not enough...

During the christmas holiday I had a seasonal position that involved working on a truck. At some point there was a baby doll in the back of the truck that made one of numerous noises if you stood too close to it. There was no way for us to be far enough away from the baby doll to get it to stop making that noise so we had to listen to it for nearly an hour while we were working. At some point, I commented, "You would lose your mind if you were stuck in the room with that baby doll for an entire day and you couldn't block the noise out." The other guy said something like, "Probably..."

The events of the previous paragraph caused me to linger on a topic that I am not inclined to think of at all generally: Ways to drive someone out of their mind. (I AM NOT RECOMMENDING THAT ANYONE EVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS). This is an interesting idea, but if you can afford a camera and or a microphone with a recorder attached this could work: Record as much footage of a persons conversations or behavior as possible without their knowledge. After you have enough of this footage, Start repeating entire paragraphs and phrases of this person’s recent conversations to that person during the course of your conversation. Repeat phrases that happened recently enough or were Eventful enough that a person with a decent memory would definitely remember. Just make sure that these were conversations that the person had with someone else. Make frequent references to things the person did that were on camera but say that you were doing those things. Like if you know that a person was playing hopscotch while listening to Afroman earlier, say that you were playing hopscotch earlier while listening to Afroman while repeating entire paragraphs and Distinct phrases from previous conversations that a person had with other people. If you can get a few people involved in this it is that much more effective. Eventually the cumulative affect of something like that would drive someone out of their mind. A person should NEVER do something like this, but I am absolutely certain that it would work. I would guesstimate that the price tag attached to doing something like that is less than $200. Interesting to think about.

Anonymous Comment Poster: Your inability to stay within a light year of appropriate boundaries based on the theory that I can't figure out who you are says more about you than you realize. I am sure that you cross all manner of lines in life and that stalking isn't something that you would avoid doing if you thought that you could get away with it by doing it anonymously. Based on recent comments, you know more about me than can be deduced based on this blog. Don't kid yourself. If you intend to stop sending me e-mails that is great. FYI, I have never heard of anyone eating Sushi at Miyagi's. Figure out what was happening there before you start posting comments.

I was having one of those "Who has the accent? Me or you?" conversations recently." Those are always fun.

I know that its over now, but i always wondered: Is that Fatman Scoop song "Put Ya Hands Up" live or was it done in a studio? Is that song "the best live 5 minutes that a DJ ever spun" (so to speak) that was caught on tape or was it very planned before hand and done in a studio.

Back in 2005 when i was having a lot of the problems that i have blogged about, someone said "Maybe your computer has been hacked. You should take your computer to best buy or your school's computer tech people." At the time I disregarded the advice. I couldn't see the slippery slope of my computer getting hacked to the madness that i was surrounded by at the time. My mind was on a different tangent. In hindsight, it was good advice...

I think that one of the weirdest things that has happened to me recently is... i was walking to an interview when i received a weird phone call. Someone asked to speak to me when i answered the phone. I thought that my voice was echoing because i could hear my voice coming through the phone. Eventually our voices/what we were saying in response to the customers service rep diverged and I realized that there was someone else who sounded like me having a telephone conversation with a customers service rep. My end of the phone was muted. I have a Distinct voice so the fact that this person sounded like me is an exceptional fact. I listened to this conversation between a customers service rep and someone who sounded like me and was claiming to be me during most of my walk to the interview. I was highly skeptical about the whole thing and ignored it because i wasn't sure what to do with/about it. I wonder if that affected my interview at all.

I am not a huge fan of the "Anonymous" comment poster. I already had to delete some of your messages because of the outrageous content. Most likely my homelessness is related to "Anonymous" comment poster stalking me (or someone like him) or something in that vicinity. Are you the guy who has been harrassing me on messenger/chat, sending me e-mails, and trying to add me on networking websites? Are you the person who knows that I am online even though I blocked him?? If so, I made it clear that I am not into that sort of thing. I am thinking of posting these comments so that people can see exactly what you are attempting to post on my blog. "Anonymous" comment poster has certainly kicked it up a notch. In response to one of your many comments that I have not posted, what I did at the time was pretty standard/ relatively mild behavior compared to my peers most of the time.

I was on facebook.com recently and noticed another "We Hate Andre Shannon" web page. My only question is "How do they really feel about it?

Recently I was bored and decided to do a google search of my name and found that there is a Gay pornstar with the same name as me. I said, "You have to be kidding me!!" Previous to this, the last time that I googled my name, this Blog and my facebook page were the only thing that came up in the search. I am not sure how many pages you have to go through to find anything about me at this point. I really don't have the sort of name that typically causes that kind of confusion. I am not that guy doing spoken word on youtube either. It aggravates me to be confused with anyone else...I would guess that my social networks don't overlap with anyone who has the same name as me but this stuff comes up on the most basic search...

After what i have experienced, it seems that homelessness should be an easier situation to transcend if you have a decent resume or anything similar. In some capacity or another you encounter a lot of people who could easily cause you to be employed. Though many people genuinely want to help, the problem is that you are as likely to encounter someone with a mentality similar to the ruthless landlord from that movie "The Super" about the situation. That sort of thing makes it more difficult.

I used to have many friends added on my myspace page and friendster page. I don't use those sites anymore and I only have 12 friends added on my facebook page. FYI I only use one account that has 12 people (give or take one) added on facebook. I never thought about it this way, but the comments on my wall were like a long strings of inside jokes depending on who was reading it. I definitely don't aim to confuse anyone but my myspace page and blog were never meant to be a substitute for actually knowing me. The purpose of this blog is not to give strangers something that they can "hang their hat on" in that way.

I was thinking about something recently and realized that I was back to square one on that issue. How often does that happen? How often does a person reach a greater level of understanding only to realize that they now think the same thing that they did before they knew much about whatever the issue is. That RARELY happens to me...
