The quality of this blog may be suffering. I don't have nearly as much time as I used to have on the internet. That means that I end up writing this blog during the last 5 minutes that I have on the computer. Keep that in mind as you read this blog...

What's going on with those city workers who have the leaf-blowers. They are usually seemingly going out of their way to blow dirt in people's direction or giving a this hard look as if threatening to blow dirt in people's direction...

Most of my time is spent between the Anaheim and Fullerton areas. The demographic of what I see when I am out and about now seems completely different than when I first arrived here. Considering what I was accustomed to in Los Angeles, Orange County was never really what I expected since day one so I don't have much of an opinion about what was going on a year ago ago as opposed to now in terms of whether its better or worse. I will say that at a glance I think: This must be what integration looked like the first time that it ever happened. In the present day, when places are integrated, people are generally pretty close to each other demographically. People realize that regardless of ethnicity, some people are a lot more similar to each other than others. People have some level of exposure to other ethnicities and have some level of understanding in regards to who is a comparable match for them in integrated areas. Lately its an assortment of people that I have never seen together and don't seem to have anything in common...

Whether this is apparent to someone or not, I limit myself a lot in terms of where I am and who I interact with. I am not one of those people who thinks that the world is his oyster and comes and goes to any location as he pleases. I definitely know a lot of people from different backgrounds, but I am easily avoided. One of the benefits of a person who limits himself is that you can walk away from him/ her. No one likes to think about this but relationships end and as long as the other person doesn't live next door or think that the world is his oyster: you don't really have to see them again much. If you deal with people who don't limit themselves it never ends because they won't hesitate to be where you are whether
you move to a gated community or not...

Racism has been a lot different than what I was accustomed to before. Where I am coming from, if you want to make a racist comment you have to have 100 pages worth of charts, graphs, and data to back up what you are saying. Now, racism is like someoen says that you smell bad: If you don't really smell bad thats the racism. Thats a lot different than a having 100 pages worth of charts and graphs.
